At Work in Wakefield

 By this time, Wakefield had already been open 70 years!



Sorting out the past...how interesting.  Even in the midst of heartache, people created beautiful things.

 Tucker, was their best solution if someone wasn't eating.

Ben, I think these would be too heavy to lift. Tucker, I think they would be too hard to remember.

Tucker, if your behavior seemed out of control, they would lock four of these on your feet.

Focusing on physical control, they developed tools...

... that seem brutal to us now.

... frontal lobotomies.

It is good to be alive now, learning from history, and ...

... working with a new generation of helpers.

... knowing we can get help and give it.
